What Is Government
Government is “a hierarchy of respected relationships interacting to create enforceable laws.” Government’s mandate is to provide for the common defense; ensure civility; and to take care of those who are weak, afflicted, infirmed or disoriented.
Pursuant to that limited mandate, Government delivers a myriad of authorized services paid for by revenue derived from taxation, and the assessment and collection of fines and fees.
Taxpayers intend for their collective funds to be used for the greater public good.
They do not intend for that revenue to be used against them, or against their interest.
