Healthcare Equal Access

There are systemic race based disparities in regards to the delivery of public health services.

Patients of color face greater obstacles to obtaining sexual and reproductive health care than non-Hispanic white Americans – a pattern that results in worse health outcomes overall for BIPOC patients.

Telemedicine is fast becoming the preferred method of health provider patient interaction. This is a challenge for many Patients of Color who live on the wrong side of the digital divide.

Therefore, I would utilize Federal infrastructure funds to provide internet access and technology tools to ensure all residents, irrespective of race or heritage, have the ability to securely communicate with their preferred medical providers using technology consistent with HIPA requirements.

I will make certain that all persons have access to some safe, affordable mode of Transportation so that they can easily get to and from the healthcare facilities.

I will work with the State legislature and lobby Congress to pass legislation and enact policies that will lower out of pocket healthcare expenses for disadvantaged Las Vegas residents.
